Napoli have fined their defender Kalidou Koulibaly after speaking about his situation when not authorised by the club.
Italian journalist Valter De Maggio explained why the 24-year-old has been fined.
"The club policy says that a player is allowed to speak to the media when on duty with his national team provided he only speaks about the competition he is involved in," De Maggio told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
"That's exactly what [Dries] Mertens and [Gonzalo] Higuain have done.
"Koulibaly, on the other hand, gave an unauthorised interview and will therefore be fined £40,000."
