Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho says striker Anthony Martial will play an important role in his squad this campaign.
The Frenchman was heavily linked with leaving the club during the summer.
But the Portuguese confirmed that he held positive talks with the player who will not leave the club this summer.
"We are using him well," Mourinho told reporters.
"He's coming with the right attitude and we have had conversation about the future he has here.
"I think he has a good connection on the pitch with Paul [Pogba], with Romelu [Lukaku] it's coming.
"He's growing in confidence and, of course, two periods of 20 minutes and scored two goals, for his confidence nothing [is] better."
