Arsenal have launched an enquiry to sign Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, transfer market expert Emanuele Giulianelli has revealed.
The Argentinean has refused to sign a new contract with the Serie A giants amid rumours that he could be sold during the summer transfer window.
"Arsenal want to take advantage from the situation of Higuain with Napoli and have asked informations to his brother Nicolas," Giulianelli wrote on Twitter.
At the start of the month, his brother confirmed that the striker is not happy with how the Partenopei are moving in the transfer window.
"We arrived with a Champions League project, of being champions, of growing, and the response of the company was not the most correct," his agent told Radio Continental.
"It's their right to ask for his buyout clause, but we will opt for the path of not renewing the contract and he will be free in 2018.
"In these conditions we are going to respect the contract that we have with Napoli but we are not going to renew it under any circumstances.
"Gonzalo is super professional and will continue to give the maximum."
