Striker Gonzalo Higuain has refused to sign a new contract at Napoli as he edges closer to a move to the Premier League.
The 27-year-old is a target for Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United according to reports as the three continue their chase for a world class striker.
And according to Nicolas Higuain, agent and brother of the striker, the player was not happy with the offer made by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis at the end of last month.
"We had a meeting with the president [Aurelio De Laurentiis] in Venice 10 days ago," the agent said.
"We talked about everything.
"He offered a one-year contract extension, however, in my opinion – and in our opinion – we'll continue with the original contract, expiring in 2018.
"I don't think we'll accept the president's offer, because the contract isn't that different from the one we signed before, so for us it's not a real offer."
