Arsenal attacking midfielder Santi Cazorla will leave the club after successfully recovering from injury.
The former Spain international underwent ten operations on his Achilles and a skin graft but has returned to full training earlier this month.
His contract with the North Londoners will expire in June.
The 33-year-old played 180 games under Arsene Wenger but is set to join his former club Villarreal in Spain as Las Casa del Futbol reporter Monica Marchante revealed.
"It is all but official that, although it has not been completely confirmed by the club, Santi Cazorla will spend pre-season next season – well, this July as we are already there – with Villarreal," she said.
Recent reports have also claimed that Mikel Arteta wanted Cazorla as part of his team in the case Arsenal appoint him as new manager.
