Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Real Madrid are ready to make an offer to Paris Saint-Germain for striker Edinson Cavani and midfielder Marco Verratti.
According to the report, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez met Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi during the Champions League draw on Thursday to open talks to sign the two players.
Cavani, 27, is rumoured to be unsettled in France after being forced to play on the wing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic the preferred option in central attack with Arsenal also keeping an eye on the Uruguay international.
Verratti, 21, has been linked with a number of top clubs in Europe this summer with reports in Italy revealing that Roma are ready to offer Miralem Pjanic in a swap deal to add the Italian to their midfield.
