Roma are poised to sign Chelsea and Arsenal target Abdul Baba Rahman from Augsburg this week, talkSPORT has reported.
The 21-year-old has attracted the interest of a number of European clubs in the last two seasons, including Real Madrid and Chelsea.
And Sky Sport Italy Bundesliga expert Pietro Nicolodi believes that the Ghanaian would be an important asset if he decides to join the Giallorossi.
"Last season there were rumours that the player was going everywhere, including Real Madrid," Nicolodi told TuttoMercatoWeb.
"And I must say that his level never dropped, he was very consistent.
"[If he's worth £17m?] Considering that Roma want £21m for [Alessio] Romagnoli, I would say that £17m for Baba is understandable.
"He did well with the National team as well although in all fairness I still believe it's a lot of money."
