New Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic received an offer from Chelsea and other top European clubs before opting for the Bianconeri, PR manager Adis Junuzovic has revealed.
The 26-year-old left Roma after the Serie A champions triggered his £30million buy-out clause.
He will undergo a medical at the Juventus Center in Vinovo next week to complete the move.
"Juventus have activated the £30million buy-out clause," Junuzovic told N1.
"The transfer will be completed soon.
"Many other clubs were interested: Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Barcelona but Juventus acted quicker to finalise the deal.
"At Roma they are furious because one of their best players has left.
"Roma fans are also upset having seen one of their heroes leave to join a rival.
"The transfer will be official next week, the moment he signs for Juventus."
