Roma defender Mehdi Benatia is very close to joining Bayern Munich, according to reports in Italy.
According to Sky Sport Italy, the two clubs met last evening and agreed an undisclosed fee for the 27-year-old who was one of the best defenders in last season's Serie A.
At this stage, the two clubs only need to agree on who will pay the 5% solidarity contribution to be paid to all clubs that contributed to the player's football education.
Meanwhile, Roma already identified Olympiakos' Konstantinos Manolas as the one to replace the Morocco international with the Giallorossi already reaching an agreement with the Greek side for the transfer of the 23-year-old.
