Midfielder Sami Khedira says it is a "great honour" to play for Juventus in the Italian Serie A.
Speaking at a news conference in Turin, the Germany international was full of praise for his old club Real Madrid but declared that Juventus are on the same level as the Spanish giants.
"I spent five wonderful years with Real Madrid and I had already made up my mind a while back that I needed a new challenge," Khedira told a press conference.
"Juve is at the same level as Real Madrid.
"It was a simple decision to take.
"It's a great honour to play in Serie A, it's a challenging competition and there are many strong teams.
"Juve have also proved they can compete at the same level against any European side.
"I want to experience again a Champions League final."
On reports claiming that Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil could join the club, he said: "If I spoke with Ozil in recent days and if he is the right man for Juventus? No, I haven't spoke to him."
