Arsenal and Chelsea set for summer battle over Ghanaian midfielder

By

Tuttosport has confirmed that Arsenal and Chelsea are ready to make a move for Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah.

The 26-year-old spent most of last season on the sidelines after suffering a left knee injury and missed the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

He joined Juventus in the summer of 2012 from Udinese, becoming one of the main men in Antonio Conte's title-winning side.

Reports from Italy, however, also claim that coach Massimiliano Allegri wants to keep the Ghanaian at the club.

The midfielder has already started his own personal pre-season to fully recover from last season's injury in order to be in tip top shape for the start of the Juventus pre-season campaign at the end of the month.
