Juventus have intensified their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.
Sporting director Fabio Paratici is in Germany to open negotiations for the Arsenal and Chelsea target.
He is scheduled to meet the player's agent to reach an agreement on the wage demands of the 28-year-old who can leave the Spanish giants on a free transfer.
Last week the player said he was upset by all the criticism he received this season as he confirmed his future is no longer with Real Madrid.
"What has happened this season has hurt me to the bottom of my soul," he told Marca.
"It's not the end that I wanted. It hurts that I'm accused of a lack of professionalism because I've always put the team ahead of myself. I've always gone with the truth.
"I've felt happy at Real Madrid. I leave with the respect of everybody who's worked alongside me and with a clear conscience. It's normal for the press and supporters to criticize me on occasions. That's football."
