Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has told his agent to open talks to return to Italy, reports in Italy have claimed.
The Frenchman has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since leaving Juventus in the summer of 2016.
He moved to Old Trafford for £89million but failed to live up to expectations in the English Premier League.
He was one of Massimiliano Allegri's key players in Turin and the Italian coach would be more than happy to have him back in his squad.
An option the Red Devils could opt for is to allow the player to leave asking Douglas Costa - who will soon make his move to Turin permanent - as part of a swap deal.
But Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta called the rumours "fantasy football" when asked about the return of Pogba as he also rubbished speculation over the future of the Brazilian winger.
