Chelsea have a general agreement with Maurizio Sarri via his representatives to succeed Antonio Conte if he leaves his role as manager, according to Sky Sports.
It is now just a matter of days before the club sacks Antonio Conte to replace him with the former Napoli coach.
Meanwhile, Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne has all but confirmed that Sarri could indeed end up at Stamford Bridge this summer.
"If he will be the one to sit on the Chelsea bench then I'm happy, " Insigne told Il Corriere dello Sport.
"He did well at Napoli and everyone appreciated out style of football.
"I wish him luck and I hope he brings his mentality there."
