There is "great optimism" and a "lot of trust" that Maurizio Sarri will manage Chelsea, and it could be announced tomorrow, Sport Witness has claimed.
Napoli have already replaced the 59-year-old with Carlo Ancelotti.
The Blues are all set to sack current manager Antonio Conte as they want Sarri to start his job as soon as possible.
Sarri made it clear at the end of the season that his future will be away from the Italian Serie A as he is still in love with Napoli.
"What I do think is that I could not go directly to another Italian team, and that if I had to make a change I would prefer to go abroad," he told reporters.
"Everything in life ends and it is better to finish things after writing a beautiful story."
