Chelsea defender Baba Rahman has revealed the reason why manager Antonio Conte loaned him out to Schalke 04.
The 22-year-old signed for the German giants on a season-long loan.
He declared that the Italian considers him "too offensive" for what he has in mind for Chelsea this season.
The Ghana international played 51 games for Augsburg before moving to Stamford Bridge during last summer's transfer window.
He featured 23 times for the Blues.
"Chelsea manager Antonio Conte told me that he wants his team to be very defensive, but I am a rather offensive full back," Rahman told German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten.
"So I would have had very little playing time. Conte advised me to leave on loan. We will see what happens after this season.
"A lot of players in England are very powerful, whereas in Germany you see some better football.
"A lot of Premier League teams are still very much playing kick and rush football."
