The reason why Chelsea midfielder Nathan Ake has left the club on loan is to gain experience in a central midfielder role at Bournemouth.
The 21-year-old will play for the Cherries next season after agreeing to join on loan.
And he revealed that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants him to play in midfield ahead of a possible return to Stamford Bridge.
"To get an eye on how I cope, I think he wants to see me play a season there in the Premier League," Ake told BBC Radio Solent.
"The manager has been in discussions with the technical director [Michael Emenalo] at Chelsea. After this season, we'll see how I get on.
"I'm looking to improve myself as a player and get more games under my belt.
"There are also little things I can work on, but it depends which position I'm going to play. I know I can improve a lot of things, hopefully I can do that here."
