Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao will not leave the club during the January transfer window, boss Jose Mourinho has revealed.
The Colombia international struggled to secure a regular place since moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer but the Portuguese has rejected claims that the 29-year-old wants to leave to enjoy regular first team football with a different team.
"I don't know if it's true [that he wants to leave] because to me he says absolutely nothing in relation to that, and I speak with him every day," Mourinho said.
"It's strange that the press knows something I don't know and my club doesn't know. We don't have any information about this.
"He has to give us more than Diego. We normally play with one striker and I go for the performance level.
"It's a direct competition, two players for one position, and the best one plays."
