Brazilian striker can finally sign for Chelsea from Fluminense

By

Chelsea are reportedly set to clinch the signing of Brazilian winger Kenedy after obtaining a work permit for the player, Metro has reported.

The 19-year-old was in Chelsea's squad for their North America tour and made his debut against Barcelona in a friendly match.

According to boss Jose Mourinho, the youngster is expected to enjoy regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge this season.

"We bought Kenedy because we believe in him," Mourinho was quoted as saying by The Guardian in July.

"He's a very young kid that we believe a lot in, hopefully.

"Against Barcelona he had the chance to do it and even if it was a friendly I think it was the best debut for a kid, to play against the best team.

"It was a great night for the kid and a great experience."
