Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho believes his side's campaign will be a successful one if they win the English Premier League, captain John Terry revealed.
The Blues failed to reach the Last 8 of the Champions League after suffering a very disappointing defeat against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night.
And the 34-year-old has warned his team-mates to expect another tough battle when they host Southampton on Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.
"We have to pick ourselves up and go again at the weekend because it's another big game against a very good Southampton side," Terry told the club's official website.
"We've got the Capital One Cup out of the way, that's in our pocket, and now the Premier League is all we've got.
"It's a massive one to go for, we're a few points clear and we need to keep that gap. We can only do that by responding and picking up three points at the weekend.
"We can't stay down because Southampton will come here on the front foot, they're playing well and if we're not at it we'll drop points.
"It [the Champions League exit] makes us hungrier.
"The manager said to us if we can win the Capital One Cup and the Premier League it will have been a very successful season.
"We're a few points clear and there is still an awful lot to do but it's in our hands. As a group of players there is enough experience in the squad to rally around and get everyone going again."
