Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti says the French giants are determined to reach the very end of the Champions League this season.
Les Rouge-et-Bleu have enjoyed a very positive run in the competition in the last few season but are determined to improve on their best result obtained in the 1994/1995 season when they reached the semi-finals.
They face Chelsea on Wednesday night after the 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Parc des Princes.
"The last few years, we went out with our heads held high, but our ultimate goal is to win the Champions League. That's what we are here for," Verratti told RMC.
"Chelsea are probably stronger than they were last year. They made some great signings, like Cesc Fabregas.
"But for us, these are the kind of games we dream about. There is a lot of pressure on this encounter and we hope to qualify.
"We are at the highest level again after 23 years or so. It is not easy to win the Champions League in such a short space of time.
"It took Real Madrid 10 years of trying to win the Champions League again. Manchester City have a lot of great players, but few good results in Europe.
"The Champions League goes in cycles and is about gaining experience. We are making steps forward. Step by step we are mixing it up with the biggest teams around."
