Midfielder Eden Hazard believes Chelsea are firmly back on track with their Premier League title challenge after the unexpected home draw against Burnley on February 21.
The Belgian scored the only goal of the game against West Ham United on Wednesday night to secure his side three vital points.
And the 24-year-old says the win is the perfect way to approach next week's Champions League game against Paris Saint-Germain.
"It was difficult but I think we deserved to win," Hazard told the club's official website.
"They played very well and we know it's always like this when you play here. It was a very important three points after the draw at home against Burnley.
"It's always difficult when you don't score a second goal and kill the game but defensively we were very strong. The whole team defended like dogs.
"After a final it is not easy to keep going and stay concentrated in the league but we are top of the table and we want to stay there.
"It's a very good win for the confidence and for the rest of the season.
"We still have a lot of games left. Now we have two days off to take care with the family and then we have another big game against PSG."
