A number of Chelsea players were delighted after lifting the Capital One Cup at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
Midfielder Cesc Fabregas says the win provides a morale boost ahead of the last few months of the season with goalkeeper Petr Cech and strikers Didier Drogba and Diego Costa all hoping the League Cup will not be the last trophy for the Blues this season.
Cesc Fabregas: "For games like this you want your best players to perform and Diego Costa did it very well. We are still in the race for two big trophies so hopefully we can make it."
Petr Cech: "Every cup win is special. You always want to win the finals, you never want to lose in a final. We are delighted we beat a very good Tottenham side. Hopefully we will add more trophies for Jose Mourinho and for the club. Winning trophies in the middle of the season boosts confidence for upcoming games."
Didier Drogba: "The most important thing today was the trophy. It is another step forward. We have this confidence that we lost a little bit in previous weeks, we have it back and hopefully we can do well for the rest of the season."
Diego Costa: "I hope it is the first trophy of many. I feel very proud and happy. The second goal? Of course [I scored it]. Who else?"
