Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was full of praise for Tottenham Hotspur and head coach Mauricio Pochettino after his side's 2-0 win at Wembley.
The Blues went into the final as favourites to win it and didn't disappoint as they lift their first trophy of the season, Mourinho's first since rejoining the club.
"I am really happy," Mourinho told Sky Sports.
"I should start with Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino because he is building a great team. They gave us a great match and I feel sorry for them.
"My players were fantastic.
"Finals are not for playing they are for winning. We did not have problems. They had a couple of chances but nothing else.
"We knew we would be dangerous on the counter and we played like we should play a final.
"Man of the match? They are Thibaut Courtois and Filipe Luis, who played fantastic against Liverpool.
"Man of the match was Andreas Christensen who played well against Shrewsbury.
"There are more than John Terry because we are a team. I am proud of the guys."
