Chelsea midfielder Juan Cuadrado says the English Premier League is quicker than the Italian Serie A after making his full debut for the Blues on Wednesday night against Everton.
The 26-year-old was very lively on the wing for the Blues as he delivered a number of interesting crosses for his team-mates but struggled to keep the pace in the second half and was replaced in the 70th minute by Spain's Cesc Fabregas.
"The difference is that the Italian game is a little more tactical," Cuadrado told the club's official website.
"Here it's a bit quicker and more end to end, the transition from defence to attack is much faster than in Italy."
A £23.3m signing from Fiorentina, the Colombia international was also full of praise for manager Jose Mourinho after the 1-0 win.
"I feel great to have this opportunity to play for one of the best clubs in the world and for Jose Mourinho, who is a great manager," he said.
"I'm happy to have played my first game at Stamford Bridge, it's a wonderful stadium. The first two games have been hard but we're happy with the points."
