Chelsea defender John Terry says the midfielders are playing a key role in helping the defensive department keeping a clean sheet.
Questions have been raised at the start of the campaign after the Blues conceded three goals against Everton and two against Swansea but collective work helped to keep clean sheets against Aston Villa and Arsenal.
"Everyone was questioning the defence early on in the season, but it's going to happen," Terry told the London Evening Standard.
"There are so many good teams and individuals in the League, we are going to concede goals.
"The important thing going forward is we have goals in us – as long as we're not conceding too many.
"We have had a few clean sheets on the bounce, defensively we have been doing very well, not just the back four, but it's also people like Eden [Hazard], Andre [Schurrle] coming back and able to go forward as well."
