Coach Filippo Inzaghi says Milan are capable of causing an upset when they take on in-form Roma on Saturday.
The Rossoneri have very little to play for now that the Europa League spot is out of reach but the Italian wants to end the season on a high.
"Roma possess the best midfield in Italy," Inzaghi said.
"We have to play in the same way we did in the first round, with the same spirit showed against Napoli where we were penalised by the early sending off.
"Against Napoli the spirit was spot on but we struggled after getting reduced to ten men. But I see that the lads are eager to do well, tomorrow we play against a complicated team and it would be nice to achieve a good result.
"To win we have to produce a good performance, we have to fight for every ball, preventing them from controlling the game.
"[Up front] either [Mattia] Destro or [Giampaolo] Pazzini will start, I will decide tomorrow.
"[Marco] van Ginkel will probably start. In midfield we are a little bit short although Mastalli, Modic and Felicioli are available.
"He [Keisuke Honda] is ready, he trained well. In his part of the pitch we have plenty of players, we also have Cerci and Suso who is back from injury."
