Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi was disappointed with the way his side allowed Empoli to restore parity in the second half of today's game.
The Rossoneri's lack of consistency continued as they could only manage a draw against Maurizio Sarri's side at the Stadio San Siro and the Italian says Milan must cut out individual mistakes if they are to turn around their form this year.
"It's one of those periods, we suffer many injuries and anything can happen at any time," Inzaghi told Sky Sport Italy.
"Losing a player after only 30 seconds because of a nose injury is incredible but credit to Empoli, they are a great team and one can easily see the touch of [Maurizio] Sarri who has been with them for three years.
"It's a shame that we conceded the way we did. We were extremely careful when defending set-pieces but were not careful enough when they scored.
"It hurts, we have to improve, we can't afford to concede goals when the back line is organised."
The Milan players were booed off the pitch but Inzaghi says he still has the support of the fans.
"The fans are with me," he said.
"They always want more, our job is to work hard and turn the boos into applause. The Milan fans are used to other results but time is needed."
