Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez revealed Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti played a key role in his move from Spain to Italy.
The Spaniard left the Los Merengues during the summer but was grateful to coach Carlo Ancelotti and goalkeeping coach William Vecchi for their advice.
"When the opportunity to join Milan came, I took it straight away. I believe in this squad," the goalkeeper is quoted as saying by MilanNews.it.
"We will give our best to bring Milan to where it belongs.
"I must admit Carlo Ancelotti and William Vecchi played a role in my decision as they always praised this club and now I can say they were not making things up.
"I would like to thank them as well for being here."
The goalkeeper joined during the summer transfer window together with fellow countryman Fernando Torres with the 32-year-old expecting the striker to be more useful than predecessor Mario Balotelli.
"Torres is a big signing for Milan. Fernando always did exceptional things, he's experienced and we had nobody like him in the squad," added Lopez.
"He will be more useful than Mario [Balotelli].
"He will score many goals, will add pace to the forward line and will be important to the whole team."
