Former Juventus striker David Trezeguet believes Milan can fight for the title under new manager Filippo Inzaghi.
Milan ended last season in a disappointing eighth place, one short of the Europa League qualification slots following Parma's dismissal.
But the Frenchman believes this could be a blessing in disguise for Inzaghi's men.
"Milan can take advantage of the fact they have no European matches," Trezeguet told TuttoSport.
"I also know their manager, Pippo [Inzaghi], he's got a winning mentality."
