Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admitted he would have preferred to see Fernando Torres join Internazionale, rather than Milan.
Torres, 30, signed for Milan on loan after he was selected by the club to be the one to replace striker Mario Balotelli in Filippo Inzaghi's side.
Mourinho also revealed that the Spaniard needed a change and Milan could be just what he needs to revitalise his career.
"I'm an Interista and I would have preferred if he'd gone to Inter," Mourinho told reporters at the UEFA coaching seminar in Nyon.
"However, I hope that he does equally well at Milan.
"What I can say about Fernando is that as a person and a professional, there is nothing to doubt about him.
"He's a fantastic boy and a great professional. However, he needed a change of scenery."
