Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini says he would like to keep midfielder Mateo Kovacic and striker Mauro Icardi at the club.
Liverpool directors have met to negotiate the transfer of the 21-year-old to Anfield but the Italian believes the youngster is one of the key elements of his squad ahead of next season.
"He's a very good player," Mancini said after last night's win in the Serie A.
"He should be as consistent as he was tonight throughout the whole season, this is what he has to do in the future [for Internazionale]."
The 50-year-old also spoke about the future of striker Mauro Icardi: "He is improving, week after week.
"He could have scored four tonight and I believe he can become one of the best in the world.
"I want him to stay, just like Kovacic and that's because I want a strong team [next season], ideally with both of them."
