Internazionale coach Roberto Mancini says his side's objective for the last part of the season is to do well in their remaining games so as to qualify for Europe.
The Nerazzurri crashed out of the Europa League but showed signs of improvement against Wolfsburg on Thursday night.
And the Italian believes the tide could soon change as they prepare to face Sampdoria away from home.
"We are disappointed for the Europa League exit but we have to work on the positive things, forgetting the disappointment," Mancini said on Saturday.
"We have eleven games left to play with 33 points up for grabs so we have to give our best until the very end, trying to qualify for next season's European campaign.
"The lads always give their best, we're improving but unfortunately results are going against us.
"We have to be patient but I'm sure better times will come and next season we'll be fighting for the top places.
"We will work together in the summer and new important players will join to help those already part of the squad.
"[Xherdan] Shaqiri trained and is fit but we will assess him tomorrow morning. [Yuto] Nagatomo is recovering but he will not be ready after the international break."
