Coach Roberto Mancini says former coach Walter Mazzarri should not be blamed for Internazionale's recent run of poor results.
Last night's 1-1 draw against Cesena means the Nerazzurri are yet to register a win in March and they face a very difficult task on Thursday when they host Wolfsburg in the Europa League.
"I don't think the problem was a psychological one," Mancini said.
"We had a chance to move closer to a European place but we didn't play well and wasted a chance.
"I don't think today's draw [will affect Thursday's game in the Europa League], they are two complete different competitions.
"We can recover the deficit but we have to play a great game.
"I don't think [Xherdan Shaqiri] will recover, he suffered a muscular problem.
"After twenty games [in charge] the responsibility is mine.
"These are my mistakes, the previous coach [Walter Mazzarri] cannot be blamed for my mistakes.
"It would be ridiculous to even consider the third place now. Let's hope to do something special on Thursday night."
