Internazionale midfielder Hernanes was delighted after Sunday's late equaliser against Napoli.
The Brazilian's stoppage time goal rescued a point for Walter Mazzarri's side and the 29-year-old says the players can now look forward with optimism.
"There are moments when you have to react and recover from a difficult situation," Hernanes told Sky Sport Italy.
"Doing well today [Sunday] was important. We reacted and our season starts now.
"Objectives will be achieved easier if everyone is more positive.
"Also let's not forget this Napoli team is strong. We simply couldn't lose today [Sunday].
"We struggled in the second half because we fought hard in the early stages so it wasn't easy to keep the level for the full 90 minutes."
