Internazionale midfielder Yann M'Vila says he can be stronger than he was seasons ago after regaining full fitness.
At Rennes the 24-year-old was one of the most impressive defensive midfielders but his career suffered a huge blow after he was banned from all national teams for almost two years following an unauthorised night out while on under-21 duty.
But the Frenchman is now determined to secure a regular place in Walter Mazzarri's side.
"My main feature is to win back balls and play it forward, I don't like to go backwards," M'Vila told Sky Sport Italy.
"When I'm on the ball my focus is to help the offensive department. My game lacks the long ball forward as I always pass it to the closest team-mate or the winger.
"I have to improve in how I help the strikers and create goal opportunities.
"I'm very close to be on the same level of four years ago but I'm not 100% fit yet.
"I actually believe I can reach a much higher level if I play consistently.
"I don't feel the pressure, it's not a concern. The press can say whatever they want, if you perform they praise you, if you don't they bash you.
"This is why I don't really care what is written in the media. I only care what the coach says, he's the only one who can judge my work. If he's happy but the media is not then all is fine."
Asked if the Napoli game is vital for Internazionale's campaign, M'Vila said: "It depends on us, we already lost two games so we cannot afford to lose a third one.
"I hope the coach finds the right words to inject confidence in us. We have to win, we desperately need to win. We have to give our best for the fans, the coach, the club, all those who works for us.
