Internazionale midfielder Mateo Kovacic says he would be happy to score more goals for his side.
The 20-year-old opened his scoring account for the Nerazzurri with a hat-trick in the 6-0 Europa League win over Stjarnan last month and now hopes to open his account for Croatia.
"I needed time to settle down in Italy," the youngster said.
"I'm happy for my first goals [with Internazionale] and I hope to keep this level.
"I also hope to open my account with the National team. Cyprus and Malta are two games where I can do it but ultimately it's not important who scores, we just have to win."
The midfielder was linked with a possible move to Barcelona during the summer transfer window but his objective is to focus on his job at Internazionale.
"I know nothing about it," Kovacic said.
"It doesn't make sense to comment on the matter.
"There is a lot of business involved during the transfer market but Internazionale decided not to be involved, they kept costs low and their objective is to help develop the young players."
