With only a few hours left before the end of the summer transfer window, Internazionale have decided to end the chase for Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi.
The Argentina international was one of the targets for the Italian side but agent Alejandro Mazzoni explained that the player will stay put, at least for this season.
"A lot has been said on Lavezzi joining Internazionale but negotiations never took off," Mazzoni told fcinternews.it.
"You have to ask Paris Saint-Germain if the player's fee is the reason. In truth I believe it's not easy to replace a player like Lavezzi."
The agent also confirmed he is in Paris for the last day of the transfer market but no meetings are scheduled for the Argentinean.
"I often talk with Internazionale director and I've always been clear: if you want Lavezzi you have to approach the French club.
"I'm in Paris today but I can assure you nothing will happen."
