Zenit Saint Petersburg have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Internazionale midfielder Fredy Guarin.
According to Italian website Calciomercato.com, Internazionale technical director Piero Ausilio met with the player's agent yesterday evening but the two parties are yet to decide the future of the player.
The two are scheduled to meet again next week.
Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing the 28-year-old but Tuttosport.com reports that a Zenit Saint Petersburg representative met with Ausilio to present an offer for the midfielder.
Guarin is believed to prefer either a stay in the Italian Serie A or a move to the English Premier League.
The player's relationship with the Internazionale fans broke down in January when he was ready to join rivals Juventus.
And was again tense after Internazionale's away-from-home draw against Livorno with the Colombian gifting the home side the equaliser in the dying minutes of the game.
