Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a shock deal to sign Manchester United winger Ashley Young, according to Metro.
The 30-year-old confessed last week that his desire is to stay with the Red Devils but he could be tempted to leave the club to enjoy regular first-team football at White Hart Lane.
"A lot of people thought I had it [a new deal] done but I haven't," Young wss quoted as saying by the Daily Star last week.
"It's in the club's hands now, so I will have to see how it goes.
"I'm desperate to stay. I'm at one of the biggest clubs in the world so I want to stay here as long as possible. That's exactly what I want to do.
"I've had conversations with the club. I hope we can sort things out. There have been preliminary talks but I'll leave my agent to take care of that.
"Will the contract be sorted soon? You'll have to ask the club that."
