Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will battle for Villarreal playmaker Denis Suarez, according to reports in Spain.
The 22-year-old is expected to return to Barcelona after reports claimed that the Spanish giants will activate their £2.5m buy-back clause this summer.
But Mundo Deportivo reports that the two North London clubs are determined to open talks to sign the youngster who scored four goals for Villarreal this season.
In March, the Spaniard confirmed that he would be delighted to play for Barcelona.
"I have not spoken with Barca, perhaps they have spoken with my agent, I don't know," Suarez was quoted as saying by ESPN.
"You never know, from here until the end of the season a lot of things can happen."
"The possibility of returning to Barca is there and it's very difficult to say no to that. I've always wanted to play for Barca."
