Manchester United have been linked with a move for Benfica midfielder Anderson Talisca.
The Sun has claimed that boss Jose Mourinho has already made a £35million offer to sign the 24-year-old.
Two clubs from China are also interested in the attacking midfielder.
It is not the first time the Portuguese is interested in the player. When at Chelsea, he was desperate to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
"Talisca is not in England only because he does not have a work permit, otherwise he would be here," Mourinho said back then.
"There were many big and important teams who wanted Talisca, and many tried to sign him even though they knew he could not play in England.
"The English team that signed him would loan him to some other team in a minor league, hoping for the eventual arrival of Talisca into the Brazilian team.
"Then he would have a work permit to enter England."
