Chelsea are ready to replace flop Danny Drinkwater with Nice’s in-demand midfielder Jean-Michael Seri, according to Metro.
Drinkwater joined Chelsea for £30million last September but struggled to impose himself in Antonio Conte's midfield.
He was one of the best players in Leicester City's title-winning squad but failed to replicate that form at Stamford Bridge.
Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been heavily linked with a move for Seri.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave Nice during the summer transfer window with the Blues in pole position.
They will also face competition from Borussia Dortmund who seems to be determined to hi-jack the move with an important contract offer.
