Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred is expected to finalise his move to Manchester United early this week, the BBC has claimed.
The Brazil international arrived at Manchester United’s training ground this morning to complete his £52million move to the club.
He will be Jose Mourinho's first summer signing.
The midfielder was very close to joining Manchester City during the January winter transfer window but his wage demands saw the Citizens pull out of the deal.
Recent reports have claimed that the midfielder will sign a four-year contract with United.
He will take over from Michael Carrick in midfield after the Englishman retired to become a coach with the club.
