Manager Arsene Wenger has urged Arsenal to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani according to reports in Italy.
The Gunners have already made two official bids to sign the youngster in the last 12 months, both of which were rejected.
Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri considers the 23-year-old a pivotal member of his squad ahead of next season.
Wenger has already strengthened his defensive department by signing Sead Kolasinac.
Kolasinac was one of the best players for the Gunners during their penalty shoot-out win over Chelsea last Sunday.
But the Frenchman wants to add more quality as Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel Paulista continue their struggles with injuries.
The Brazilian is apparently also being chased by Spanish Liga clubs and could leave the Emirates this month.
