"He will be at Arsenal" - Arsene Wenger confirms 25-year-old will be at the Emirates next season

By

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will not leave the club during the summer transfer window.

Recent reports have claimed that the Englishman will join Sampdoria in Italy.

But manager Arsene Wenger says there is still place for the 25-year-old in his squad.

The Frenchman has however made it clear that the midfielder has to work hard to enjoy regular football at the Emirates.

"I think Jack will be with Arsenal next season, yes," Wenger told reporters.

"When he returns, he won't be far from practising with the team.

"He has to work hard to come back and fight for a place in the team."
