Welsh football manager Dean Saunders has urged Liverpool to sign striker Olivier Giroud from Arsenal.
The 53-year-old is convinced that the Reds need a player like the Frenchman and that he would be a great signing for Jurgen Klopp.
The 30-year-old knows that he will struggle to secure a regular place at the Emirates now that Alexandre Lacazette has joined the club.
Borussia Dortmund are also interested but the player would prefer to stay in the English Premier League.
"I think Giroud could play for Liverpool," the Welshman told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
"Liverpool's current front three float around, they just play anywhere, but against the lesser teams who they struggle to break down, I just think sometimes you could do with a player in the box like Giroud.
"When you get a bit stuck and teams park the bus against you, you end up going wide and you get the ball into the box.
"James Milner does that really well, but you need a player like Giroud who gets on the end of those balls.
"You need a striker that, when you get stuck, you just toss it in there and he turns it into a goal - Giroud does that.
"He's a top, top player and I think he'd be a good signing for Liverpool."
