Leicester City star man Riyad Mahrez is expected to become Arsenal's third summer signing in the next 72 hours.
Reports in Italy have claimed that positive talks have been held between the Gunners and the attacking midfielder.
The Foxes will only sell the Algeria international for £35million, a fee Arsenal are ready to meet.
Meanwhile, Leicester City have identified Watford's Troy Deeney as the one to take over from the 26-year-old.
Deeney enjoyed a very positive campaign last season and the Foxes had a £25million bid for him turned down last summer.
But they are determined to make a fresh approach this summer so as to replace Mahrez before the start of pre-season.
