The BBC has claimed that Arsenal are "close to agreeing" a deal to sign striker Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon.
According to the article, the Gunners will offer a club-record fee to make the 26-year-old their second summer signing.
And reports in Italy say that the player has already agreed personal terms with the North Londoners.
Manager Arsene Wenger already wanted to sign the Frenchman last summer.
But the offer made by the North Londoners back then was rejected by Lyon.
Lyon have also rejected a bid this summer but this time Arsenal are expected to return with an improved bid that will see the striker move to the Emirates.
Meanwhile, Lyon chief Jean-Michel Aulas says the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement.
"There have been talks and it is true Arsenal are pushing hard," he said.
"But the time has not come yet.
"I am not ready to agree to the current conditions proposed by Arsenal."
