Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has finally confirmed that he is interested in bring Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud back to France.
Recent reports have claimed that the Gunners want to use the 30-year-old in the deal that would see Alexandre Lacazette move to the other side.
Aulas believes that the Arsenal man wants to stay at the Emirates but will make a move if the North Londoners sign one or two new strikers.
"I think that right now Olivier wants to stay at Arsenal," Aulas said at the Professional Football Convention in Cannes.
"You really have to ask Arsene Wenger. If there are arrivals at Arsenal, perhaps Olivier would like to return to France.
"I have said for a long time that he's one of the players who might interest us, but not only.
"And as we want our recruitment to be almost completed in 15 days, it's not necessarily compatible with Oliver Giroud's wishes. We will surely have initiatives with world-class players, before perhaps the arrival of Olivier Giroud."
